Checking Out a File Group
You can check out all the files in a file group at one time. To check out a file group, do the following:
- Click the File groups tab on Document Central The main window where most Document tasks originate. Document Central contains several tabs that display lists of files, file groups, discussions, tasks, and recent entities..
- Right-click the file group name in the Add/Edit file group box and select Check-out.
- If needed, select a date in the Expected Check-in Date list.
- If needed, enter text in the Comments box. If you choose to send an email about the file, the text you enter here will be in the body of the email.
- To send an email to other staff members regarding your check out, enter recipient email addresses in the To and Cc boxes as needed, or click to search for a recipient. Separate multiple email addresses with a semicolon.
- If you are sending the file as an email attachment, select Send as E-mail attachment.
- Click OK.
